Can a dog toy make it to all 50 states?
We don’t know yet. But we’re going to find out.
When Nuggy Dog Co. launched, we set a big goal for Camp Clucker: get that chicken into all 50 states. Four months later, Camp Clucker had officially crossed the entire map.
So when Backyard Bandit arrived, we decided to try it again.
One squirrel. Fifty states.
Backyard Bandit is our $10 beef-scented squirrel chew toy, tested by Nugget and other dogs. Now he has a new mission: clear every state in America.
So far, 16 states are officially cleared. That leaves 34 to go.
Camp Clucker set the bar
Camp Clucker will always have bragging rights.
He was there at the beginning of Nuggy Dog Co., traveling from state to state as people discovered our little company built around a Golden Retriever named Jasper Golden Nugget and his dad.
Watching that first map fill up became one of the best parts of our first year. Every new state represented more than another order. There was a real dog on the other end of the package, and another person who had found Nugget, found our story, and decided to give one of our products a try.
That’s what made reaching all 50 states mean something.
Now it’s Bandit’s turn.
Follow Backyard Bandit across America
We’re tracking every new state as Backyard Bandit makes his way across the country.
Some states may come quickly. Others might take a while. If this challenge goes anything like Camp Clucker’s, the last few will probably make us work for them.
That’s part of the fun.
We’ll keep updating the map and sharing Bandit’s progress with Nuggy Nation as we chase 50 out of 50.
