No setup. No production. No plan.
Just a trail, a golden retriever, and two very well loved chickens.
Most days look a lot like this. We head outside, Nugget grabs whatever toy happens to be his favorite that week, and we walk. Sometimes it’s quiet. Sometimes it’s chaotic. Most of the time it’s somewhere in between.
This is where everything started.
Not with a business plan.
Not with a product launch.
Just life with a dog.
I was not trying to build a brand. I was just trying to give my dog a good life. Walks. Playtime. Adventures. Moments that felt real. Along the way, I noticed something. The things we used every day mattered. Toys that did not last did not get picked up again. Gear that did not hold up got replaced. Anything that did not make life easier eventually disappeared.
Camp Clucker did not start as a product idea.
It started as something that made Nugget happy.
He loved big toys. Loud toys. Toys that could survive real play. Not ten minutes of squeaking in the living room, but weeks of being dragged across trails, tossed in the yard, and proudly carried like a trophy. The chicken just stuck. And before I knew it, so did the idea that fun matters.
That idea became a standard.
If something did not hold up to Nugget’s life, it did not belong in ours. That mindset carried into everything else. Gear. Grooming. Accessories. All of it built around real use, not perfect photos.
We test everything the same way we live our days.
By using it.
No shortcuts. No pretending. No good enough.
If it does not work for us, it does not make the cut.
Somewhere along the way, other people started to notice. Photos came in from trails we had never walked. Dogs we had never met showed up carrying the same chicken Nugget loved. What started as something small turned into something shared. A community of people who just wanted good products and better days with their dogs.
But at the end of it all, it is still this.
A trail.
A dog.
