When most people discover Nuggy Dog Co., they see a dog company. Some see a golden retriever. Some see a rubber chicken. Others see dog shampoo, harnesses, leashes, and toys.
I see my best friend.
At the end of the day, this isn't really the story of a business. It's the story of a man and his beloved golden retriever. Everything else has simply grown around that relationship.
When I started Nuggy Dog Co., I didn't have a corporate blueprint or a perfectly crafted marketing strategy. I wasn't trying to build a brand that looked like everyone else's. I was learning as I went, sharing our adventures, and documenting the life Nugget and I were already living.
Every morning starts the same way. Before the sun comes up, we're out getting our miles in before the Georgia heat takes over. Some days we hike a new trail. Some days we simply walk the neighborhood. Some days nothing exciting happens at all. But we show up.
Over time, those ordinary mornings became the foundation of something much bigger than I ever expected.
Camp Clucker wasn't created because I wanted to sell a toy. It became part of our daily adventures because Nugget genuinely loves it. Before I knew it, people from all over the country were following along, sharing videos of their own dogs, and making Camp Clucker part of their stories too.
That's when I realized something.
We weren't just building a business.
We were building a community.
This past year has been one of the most meaningful years of my life. I launched Nuggy Dog Co. with 44 products. I lost my father. I committed to taking better care of my health. I started embracing the idea of turning 50 instead of fearing it. We launched a YouTube channel, traveled to Hawaii, and somehow carried a rubber chicken to all 50 states and even to the side of an active volcano.
None of those moments were part of a master plan.
They were simply chapters in a story that continues to unfold every single day.
People often ask me what Nuggy Dog Co. is really about.
It isn't just products.
It isn't just social media.
It isn't even just dogs.
It's about living a life worth sharing, creating products we're proud to use ourselves, and building a community of people who love making memories with their best friends.
Good stories aren't rushed. They aren't manufactured. They take time to unfold, one sunrise, one walk, one lesson, and one adventure at a time.
